Green and Red Check Glenroyal Tweed Jacket
This jacket is cut from a 430gr from Porter and Harding’s Glenroyal bunch - cloth number 44640. It has a yellowy green base weave with a bold scarlet windowpane overcheck - a great example of a classic tweed pattern. Glenroyal tweed is woven in the Scottish borders and is slightly on the lighter side of medium weight, has a fairly tight set weave and soft finish. It makes up beautifully into both jackets and suits
This jacket has a two button fastening (genuine horn buttons), slant pockets, ticket pocket, twin rear vents and a four button working cuff. There’s some scarlet thread on the last buttonhole, and red undercollar melton to match the check. The lining is a two-tone viscose twill in red and green
In general, we tend to cut our jackets with a close shape - a fitted waist, sharp shoulders and slim sleeves - but can cut to however our clients desire
